Everyone has this one story that they want to tell more than anything. A love project. Mine just happens to be a really silly story about a guy who cleans toilets and doesn't have a nose. Haha!

I started drawing the first version of this comic about 2 and a half years ago (woah!). I dropped it this Christmas, after over 150 pages, because I realized it was too badly drawn (the first pages were two years old after all, and to be honest... I was very bad at drawing back then) and that the story did not progress in a way I was satisfied with (due to me starting it without having any idea were I was going). Still, this was the project that got me back into drawing comics after some years funk and it gave me a lot of practice that, quite frankly, was what made me able to get accepted to the Comic School.

For the past 6 months or so I've been planning to start redrawing it, using the same characters but changing around a lot within the story. Since the summer started and I got more time on my hands I started preparing for real. And now, after lots of redesigns and rewriting, I have started uploading it to SmackJeeves! It updates each Wednesday and Sunday.

As for now there's just the cover page and the first page up, but here's the link!
That is an amazing title...
Since I now know a lot of great comic artists I've been a bit worried about my own comics. I know how quick we tend to be to disregard others work. And I do not have the best drawing skills, nor are my plots that extraordinary. But I kind of realized that I shouldn't worry what everyone else thinks as long as I make a comic that I find fun to draw! (and hopefully people will find it fun to read as well)

Today's lesson in creativity: banana boxes + piece of glass from picture frame + desk lamp = light table!

Been playing around a bit with inking... Not that I really dislike the way I ink (left), I just want to find a quicker way to do it. The picture to the right is an experiment with a pen I bought yesterday. If I practice a lot, that one might actually be a keeper. But as for now... loooong way to go, ahaha!

I'm currently finishing up my entry for the AltCom Sex and War anthology. Hopefully it'll get accepted!

In other news, I got a drawing table for free from the Comic School. I'm a happy, happy camper. Being able to draw all day without killing your back is to prefer, m'kay.
And now... onwards to new idiocies!!

I still haven't heard anything from the Comic School, so I guess they don't want me this year. Haha! Oh well, I have loads of projects going on anyway. Right now I'm working on a 4 page comic for the AltCom Sex and War anthology. I'm doing the whole thing directly in ink without any sketching... which is quite a challenge for me seeing as I'm usually quite a control freak when it comes to inking. But I'm going for a more scribbly style with this, since I feel it fits the mood better.

Also, me and Johan have started planning and sketching on the comic we're doing together for the Swedish Comic Sin 2 anthology. And I've also been a part of an alternative pinup calendar project. The calendar will be printed and up for sale soon. Keep an eye open for it on upcoming expos and conventions!

I've also been doing some cheap commissions over at deviantART. As for non-profit projects, I've been practicing a lot on my action and have drawn a series of pretty simple illustrations with this theme. My webcomic Antigone hasn't been updated for far too long, but I hope to get it up and running again within the next week or so. I'm also planning to start redrawing my love project comic and have it up and running before the end of August.
...and that is what's going on for me and my art. I have a lot of stuff going on! YEAH!
And hopefully I won't take this long to update this thing again...
